Smoke-dried over resinous wood fires, the leaves deliver a deep, complex flavour of wood smoke, rich leather and nuances of tobacco — a bold, indulgent brew for those who savour intensitea. Indulge in the timeless ritual of a true smoked black tea.
A little about how our lapsang is made:

Our Lapsang Souchong is crafted using the traditional method of smoking during manufacture of the leaf. The leaves are first withered over fires of pine or cypress wood, fired, and rolled and then pressed into wooden barrels and covered with cloth to ferment until they emit a pleasant aroma. The leaves are then fired again and placed in bamboo baskets hung over a woody fire to dry and absorb the smoke flavour.

Manufacturing Process: Orthodox
Leaf appearance: Medium - long wiry, black leaf.

Classic Lapsang taste. Smokiness is subtle and pleasant.

The smokier the better. This tea is truly magnificent for those rare few who love this tea.

People at my place of work used to hate the smell but it only reinforces the fact that Lapsang is reserved for the connoisseur tea drinkers. We Lapsang people know our tea and know how its smokey aroma and sensational taste lifts our spirits and relaxes us. No tea compares!

The best lapsang souchong tea without a doubt the best way to start the day thanks Art of tea 😀

Haven't had Lapsang souchong for a long time as it's difficult to get, but yours was delicious and may be my new favourite tea ☺️

Love, love, love your Lapsang tea.

The new batch of Lapsang is back to Sam’s absolute best. Now that’s a real cup of tea.

WooHoo!

Art of Tea’s Lapsang Souchong tea is consistently excellent and far better value not like some of the big tea houses and brands around.

Your Russian Caravan and Eastern Grey Kangaroo teas are lovely ... but there just is no substitute for teh real thing. What do we want? The Art of Tea's Lapsang Souchong! When do we want it? Now!!!

My all-time favourite tea, I agree with Jane, I want to dive in and just bask in everything lapsang souchong. It's perfect on a rainy, cold day like a best friend, a blanket and a book by a fire or in a meeting at work to take me away... this is heaven in a big, handle-less mug with my hands wrapped around the magic.

I want to dive into this tea, and just swim around, and live in there. Sometimes I just open up the packet and inhale. Lovely smokiness, not overpowered by tannins. I enjoy it with just a tiny dash of regular or soy milk.

My favourite tea. Because of the way it is made, it can vary a great deal in taste. The Art of Tea Lapsang is a very good one, far better than the usual supermarket version which is Twinings. The hotter it is, the nicer it is. It seems that it is supposed to have milk added but I prefer it black and sugarless.
