Tasmania is known for many things including its rugged wilderness and native wildlife. Some may even know of the thylacine, the large striped marsupial that became known as the Tasmanian tiger. It was the world’s largest marsupial carnivore! Living in Australia’s southern most island, Tasmania, the carnivorous marsupial tiger is believed to be extinct. The last known animal died on September 7th 1936 in Hobart's Beaumaris zoo.
This light black Australian grown Daintree tea with bitey ginger, cinnamon and apple commemorates our Threatened Species and in particular the Tassie tiger.

OUR STORY
From market stall to leading tea retailer
The Art of Tea began in 2000 with twelve varieties, sold from a stall at Hobart's Salamanca Market every Saturday.
Twenty-five years on, we still blend by hand in small batches — right here in Tasmania, now with over 150 teas and herbal blends to explore.
